Congratulations to MBL Co-Managing Partner Marc McDonald, Senior Attorney Eisha Vatsal, and Associate Ardijana Ivezaj on their jury trial win today in Oakland County on behalf of an insurance client. This is the second trial victory for MBL clients in just one week!
This case marked the client’s first tort trial in Michigan. Although negligence was established and the demand came in just under the $100,000 policy limits, the defense focused on one central theme: the credibility of the Plaintiff’s medical providers. By challenging the reliability of the treatment itself, the defense cast serious doubt on the claim.
After 2.5 hours of deliberation, the jury returned a No-Cause verdict, finding no serious impairment of body function.
This was an outstanding result for the MBL client, and another milestone for Marc McDonald, who has now prevailed in 19 of his last 20 jury trials.
