Last week, MBL secured an outstanding defense result in a challenging three-day bodily injury trial in Genesee County. The case involved a clear-liability rear-end collision with significant alleged damages, including an emergent multi-level spinal fusion that was admitted to be related to the accident.
Plaintiff’s counsel requested $4 million from the jury. The jury returned a verdict of just $350,000, including $0 for future pain and suffering.
This result not only significantly reduced overall exposure but also protected the underinsured motorist carrier, which had $1 million in UIM coverage at stake.
Congratulations to Partner Jillian Peterson, Co-Managing Partner Jason Baas, and Principal Stephanie Fall on an exceptional outcome for the MBL client. The verdict reflects strategic trial preparation, disciplined damages advocacy, and strong courtroom execution on behalf of our client.
