MBL Executive Partner Kaitlyn A. Cramer was recently elected by her peers to a three-year term as a council member of the Appellate Practice Section of the State Bar of Michigan.

Cramer, who in addition to her trial work is leader of the MBL Appeals team, was elected during the Section’s November 21, 2025 board meeting. The Appellate Practice Section Council provides education, information and analysis on relevant appellate law issues through meetings, seminars, public service initiatives and more.

Earlier this year, Cramer was honored as a Michigan Lawyers Weekly 2025 Influential Women of Law for her outstanding advocacy and unwavering commitment to clients, the justice system, community, and the legal profession. She was also invited to be a member of the Michigan Supreme Court Historical Society Advocates Guild – limited to individuals who have argued before the Court.

She has built her career defending first-party No-Fault, third-party automobile negligence, and general liability and premises claims.

A native of Frankenmuth, Mich., she received her J.D., cum laude, from Wayne State University School of Law and her B.A. from Michigan State University James Madison College.
