This case involved a PIP provider claim where the insurer disputed not the injuries or necessity of treatment, but the excessive billing. The provider sought nearly $25,000, with the last settlement offer just under $12,000. The jury returned a verdict of $2,300.
The MBL client was thrilled with the outcome, noting it sends a clear message: excessive bills will be challenged and taken to trial if necessary.
