Matthew Ephraim focuses his practice on the defense of insurance companies, self-insured corporations, and businesses in a wide range of civil litigation matters, including first- and third-party automobile claims, No-Fault (PIP) litigation, and complex bodily injury disputes. He brings a strategic, client-focused approach to litigation, informed by his in-house experience with two Fortune 500 insurance carriers, giving him a comprehensive understanding of claims handling, regulatory considerations, and risk management from all angles. He takes pride in listening to and counseling clients.

Drawing on this experience, Matthew develops effective litigation strategies from initial case evaluation through discovery, motion practice, and resolution. He has extensive experience managing high-volume caseloads and preparing matters for trial.

In addition to his litigation background, he has experience in legal operations and data-driven case management. He has worked with law firms and corporate legal departments to improve efficiency through reporting, billing systems, and e-discovery processes, enhancing overall case performance and client service.

Earlier in his career, Matthew operated a solo practice in Tennessee. This diverse background, combined with his experience in both private practice and in-house roles, allows him to approach litigation with a well-rounded, practical perspective focused on achieving efficient and effective results for clients.

He is on the board of directors for the Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance in Ann Arbor. He mentors law students as a committee member of the Arts, Entertainment, Communications, and Sports Law committee of the State Bar of Michigan, and is a committee member of the Insurance and Indemnity law committee of the State Bar of Michigan.
