Hatem Yahfoufi focuses his practice on the defense of insurance companies, self-insured corporations, and businesses in a wide range of civil litigation matters. His experience includes general and premise liability, first-party automobile No-Fault (PIP) claims, third-party auto negligence actions, insurance coverage disputes, Michigan Assigned Claims Plan (MACP) Servicing Insurer defense, and MACP Servicing Insurer subrogation. He brings a detail-oriented, analytical, and strategic approach to protecting clients’ interests at every stage of litigation.
Hatem’s legal experience spans both litigation support and hands-on client advocacy. As a Student Attorney with the Asylum and Immigration Law Clinic at Wayne State University Law School, he managed a docket of affirmative asylum cases under attorney supervision. He also worked as a paralegal at a criminal defense firm.
Hatem gained early exposure to courtroom operations through an internship with the 16th District Court in Livonia, Mich., where he assisted court clerks and observed district judges in a wide range of criminal and civil proceedings. This experience provided valuable insight into courtroom procedure, judicial decision-making, and effective advocacy.
