Asseel Khansa focuses her practice on defending insurance companies, self-insured corporations, and businesses in a broad array of civil litigation matters. Her work includes first-party auto No-Fault (PIP) claims, third-party auto negligence actions, insurance coverage disputes, and representation of clients involved in Michigan Assigned Claims Plan (MACP) Servicing Insurer Defense and Subrogation.

Before entering private practice, Asseel gained meaningful experience through several public service–oriented legal internships. At the Legal Advocacy for People with Cancer Clinic at Wayne State University Law School, she drafted life-planning documents—including wills, patient advocate designations, and advance directives—and assisted clients in applying for, appealing, and securing Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits.

Asseel also served as a legal intern with Michigan Legal Services and completed a congressional internship with U.S. Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin, where she supported constituent services and assisted with policy-related research. These experiences strengthened her commitment to advocacy and sharpened her ability to navigate complex legal and administrative processes.
