Kelsey S. LuginAssociate
Kelsey Lugin brings a well-rounded and practical approach to litigation and client counsel with her background spanning insurance defense, immigration advocacy, criminal defense, and family law. At MBL, Kelsey focuses on first-party auto No-Fault (PIP) claims, third-party auto negligence cases, insurance coverage disputes, and representing clients in Michigan Assigned Claims Plan (MACP) servicing insurer defense and subrogation matters.

While Kelsey represents clients throughout Michigan, she is based in the Grand Rapids area, allowing her to provide responsive, on-the-ground representation for matters throughout West Michigan.

Prior to entering insurance defense, she served as a staff attorney with Michigan Immigrant Rights Center, where she represented unaccompanied minors in immigration matters. She also served as an assistant public defender with Kalamazoo Defender, Inc., handling a demanding misdemeanor docket and regularly appearing in court, as well as an associate attorney in family law.

Her experience negotiating resolutions, conducting legal research, and advocating in contested proceedings sharpened the litigation skills she brings to her current defense practice and her commitment to delivering practical and effective representation to clients.
