Stacia Godkin focuses her practice on the defense of insurance companies, self-insured corporations, and businesses in a wide range of civil litigation matters. Her practice includes first-party automobile No-Fault (PIP) claims, third-party auto negligence actions, insurance coverage disputes, Michigan Assigned Claims Plan (MACP) Servicing Insurer defense, and MACP Servicing Insurer subrogation. She brings a pragmatic, results-driven approach to litigation, informed by extensive experience managing complex matters from inception through resolution.

Stacia has significant experience handling high-volume PIP litigation through all phases of the case lifecycle. Prior to joining private practice, she served as a PIP attorney with an insurance company, where she oversaw a diverse caseload involving a wide range of PIP-related issues. In this role, she was responsible for all phases of litigation, from initial pleadings through trial, and routinely conducted legal research, motion practice, discovery, and settlement negotiations.

Stacia also previously served as an assistant state attorney with the Fifth Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office in Florida. In that role, she prosecuted hundreds of cases each year and handled matters at various stages of litigation. This prosecutorial background strengthens her courtroom presence and strategic approach to defending clients in complex civil litigation matters.
