MBL congratulates Co-Managing Partner Frederick V. Livingston on his appointment as the 2025-2026 President of the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (MDTC), the state’s premier organization for lawyers representing individuals and corporations in civil litigation.
Livingston is an active member of the MDTC. In 2023, he received the MDTC President’s Special Award for his exceptional leadership and extraordinary contributions to the mission and goals of MDTC. He has served on the board of directors since 2021 and as secretary of the executive committee. He is a regular moderator and presenter at the MDTC’s summits and training sessions.
At MBL, Livingston defends insurance companies against automobile accident, slip-and-fall, and workers’ compensation claims. He specializes in SIU litigation and claims investigations. He also serves as General Counsel for the Michigan IASIU Chapter, supporting efforts to combat insurance fraud.
