McDonald Baas & Livingston, PLLC (MBL) Co-Managing Partner Frederick V. Livingston has been appointed general counsel for the Michigan Chapter of IASIU (International Association of Special Investigation Units).
In this position, Livingston will advise the IASIU Michigan Chapter on internal policies, procedures and bylaws, as well as offer legal updates and training to the members of the Michigan Chapter.
Livingston is known throughout the insurance industry for zealously investigating and litigating against fraud in a wide array of property and casualty claims, whether perpetrated by individuals or corporations. At MBL, he focuses his practice on insurance defense litigation, with an emphasis on premise liability matters, automobile negligence cases, workers’ compensation, and First-Party No-Fault cases, many of which involve fraud and excessive medical treatment.
The Michigan Chapter of the International Association of Special Investigation Units is a non-profit organization of insurance fraud investigators, law enforcement agents, and insurance professionals dedicated to combating insurance fraud. They provide comprehensive training to the insurance and law enforcement industries by developing a greater awareness of the insurance fraud problem and by supporting anti-fraud legislation.
