McDonald Baas & Livingston, PLLC (MBL) is pleased to announce two successful Motion for Summary Disposition (MSD) decisions in favor of MBL insurance clients, led by Associate Kristy Hajjar. 

Oakland County Circuit Court granted a motion for MSD dismissing $310,000 in medical bills. The Court agreed with MBL that most of the Plaintiff’s bills had been assigned and that those providers have never revoked those assignments, so they remained the real parties in interest. Seven providers with the majority of the charges got dismissed. 

Second, Dearborn District Court granted a motion for MSD based on the underlying patient’s misrepresentation under MCL 500.3173a(4) and MCL 500.4503. This order dismissed around $18,000 in damages and SIU was involved.
