Nicholas Borden-Sanford focuses his practice on the defense of insurance companies, self-insured corporations, and businesses in various civil litigation, including First-party auto No-Fault (PIP), Third-party auto negligence, insurance coverage disputes, Michigan Assigned Claims Plan (MACP) Servicing Insurer Defense, and MACP Servicing Insurer Subrogation.
His experience includes representing property owners and management firms in a wide range of landlord-tenant proceedings, including non-payment, holdover, and termination actions. He handles all aspects of litigation from case initiation through final disposition, providing efficient, practical solutions that align with each client’s business objectives.
Before beginning his legal career, Nicholas built a strong foundation in finance and asset management. As a Senior Asset Manager, he oversaw the financial operations of more than 300 multi-family communities, developing and maintaining financial models and reporting to monitor profitability and operational performance. Earlier in his career, he worked as a financial analyst, conducting detailed financial ratio and metric analyses and reconciling natural account balances to identify opportunities for cost improvement.
